Haematologic patients and total dose infusion

In which haematologic patients is total dose infusion an advantage?

My own belief is that if your patient has met the criteria for acquiring intravenous iron, a total dose infusion programme has so many benefits in terms of time saving, both for the patient and for the staff, and cost savings that most of those patients should receive their iron by total dose infusion, says Dr. Paul Stross, Consultant Haemotologist, Dept Haemotology St. Richards Hospital, Chichester, UK.
